CLEMENT, Joan Caroline (Grandma Steve).

Steve passed peacefully, aged 94, at Wakefield Homestead on 23 January 2026.

Wife of Stan (dec), mother of James (dec), survived by her son Martin, his wife Maria, grandchildren Delwyn, Jasmine, Bevan, Jeremy and Joel, step-grandchildren David, Romany, Rosanna, Rhys and Adam, and all her great-grandchildren.

Career educator and literacy advocate. District rep for basketball, netball, and a crack shot. Fearless and well regarded.

Our utmost thanks to all involved in her care at Wakefield Homestead and beyond.

Steve chose a natural burial among the trees at Motueka Cemetery, near her family.
